ONLINE AND SMS TEXT VOTES

1. Voting is available online and via SMS text message at the times listed on the website www.hospitalvote.co.uk.

2. SMS text votes should be sent to 60999. Voters need to start their message with the keyword ‘HOSPITAL, followed by their choice of name as follows:

3. Votes will be counted from Monday 23rd June through to 12 midnight Wednesday 2nd July.

4. Votes received outside the specified times will not be counted, but SMS text charges will still be charged.

5. Only one online or text vote is permitted per person.

6. Each SMS text vote is charged at your network provider’s standard rate for a single text message. Voters must obtain permission from the bill payer before voting.

7. Voters who use the SMS text voting service will have their details kept on file for the purposes of this voting process only. Voters will not be contacted by Newcastle Upon Tyne NHS Foundation Trust, its sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies.

POSTAL VOTES

1. Official voting slips will be published in various regional publications during the week commencing 23rd June 2008.

2. Postal votes clearly stating the preferred hospital name should be sent to the following address:

3. Votes received between Monday 23rd June through to Wednesday 2nd July will be counted.

4. Votes received outside the specified times will not be counted.

MISCELLANEOUS

1. The Newcastle Upon Tyne NHS Foundation Trust reserves the right to cancel or suspend voting at any time.

2. Voting times are subject to change.

3. The Newcastle Upon Tyne NHS Foundation Trust reserves the right to disqualify votes if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that fraudulent voting has occurred or if it considers there has been any attempt to rig the voting.

4. The hospital name with the highest number of cumulative votes across online, SMS and postal votes will be announced as the winner on Friday 4th July. The announcement will appear online at www.hospitalvote.co.uk

5. The Newcastle Upon Tyne NHS Foundation Trust, its sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any telephone network or line, system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any vote being lost or not properly registered or recorded.
